About Me

Based in Guildford, I am an experienced creative arts therapist established in private practice since 1996, specialising in short and long term Dramatherapy in Surrey, London, Berkshire, Hampshire and Sussex. I also travel throughout the UK and abroad.

My practice is DDP informed. DDP stands for Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. This means the focus of my work is on relationships and is underpinned by an understanding of attachment and trauma and their impact on the neurobiology of the brain.

I work with a wide range of issues including: anxiety, attachments, relationship problems, stress, depression, trauma, abuse, self-esteem, bereavement, self-development.

“I believe in the power of the arts to re-invigorate lives, support mental health, attachment and improve community cohesion.”

I have designed, managed and led evidence-based and independently evaluated projects for numerous local authorities. I’ve reached thousands of families and my projects have featured in national and professional publications.

2020 Case Study

Winner of the 2020 British Association of Dramatherapy Case Study Award. Building on the evidence base for Dramatherapy, I wrote about ‘PlayStories’ and ‘Communication Through Play’ a Dramatherapy project delivered across Surrey Children Centres and Schools. CASE STUDY.
